Darwin Entertainment Centre
Located in the heart of Darwin city, the Darwin Entertainment Centre (DEC) is the NT’s premier live performance venue hosting major national and international acts such as The Wiggles, Bluey’s Big Play and other children’s favourites, as well as local arts and community performances.
Young people and families are invited to explore what’s on at the DEC with new and exciting events being added all the time!
Entertainment Centre Darwin
The centrepiece is the majestic Playhouse Theatre, boasting a capacity of over 1,000 patrons. This grand stage has witnessed legendary performances, from the electrifying energy of Tina Turner to the harmonious melodies of the Darwin Symphony Orchestra, a resident company at the DEC.
For a more intimate setting, the Studio Theatre provides a platform for emerging artists and innovative productions. The Gallery, an on-site exhibition space, complements the performing arts scene by showcasing visual art, adding another dimension to the DEC’s artistic tapestry.
The magic of the DEC extends beyond the stages. The Balcony Bar, with its alfresco setting, is the perfect spot to unwind before or after a show, offering refreshments and a chance to mingle with fellow theatregoers.
