Since 1968, Channel 7’s Telethon has raised $231 million via the people of W.A. like yourselves, and continues to financially support the medical and social welfare of children and young people and fund research into children’s diseases. Over those years we have provided much needed financial assistance to over 150 different organisations across Western Australia. Something we should all be proud of!
Our Telethon team is very proud of the big things we’ve helped children’s charities achieve in WA and together we will continue to do what we can for the kids. As part of recognising this amazing achievement, we’ve created a new logo that provides the visual foundation for both reflecting and reminding us of the organisations unique history and future potential – please see attached the new logo and style guide. This logo will be used across 2017 & 2018 to commemorate our 50th Telethon in October 2017 and our 50th year in 2018.
The logo is an evolution of the historic circle brand that was used throughout the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s and also incorporates both an evolved ribbon device and the familiar font we have come to know so well over the last 20 years. The brand endeavours to be symbolic representation of the community, the business supporters and the contributors at every level that have led to Telethon's great work and amazing longevity.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me (Lauren Castledine, Marketing & Communications Manager on 93440761 or firstname.lastname@example.org). We would appreciate if you could update our logo anywhere it appears (especially online) within your organisation currently and going forward. To avoid confusion down the track, please delete any current versions you have as we will not be moving back to the old logo.
