The Blue Mountains are part of the Great Dividing Range, which stretches from Victoria to tropical rainforests of Queensland. The foothills are only 60km from Sydney CBD. Accessing all the famous sites and sights of Leura and Katoomba, including the famous Echo Point Lookout and the Three Sisters is easy on a hop-on/hop-off Explorer Bus. The kids will love the thrill of the world’s steepest railway at Scenic World. Be suspended 270m above the alley looking through glassed floor into the skyway. Walk the 2.4km Scenic Walkway through the rainforest and glide between the cliff top and the forest floor on the Cableway. Something for everyone to love – fast or slow! Jenolan Caves offers a range of special activities for small people during school holidays. Of course, families can also go on tours and be shown the spectacular caves. The Blue Mountains Cultural Centre features the Art Gallery and interactive World Heritage Exhibition where the whole family can learn about the Wonders of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area in a hands on display. Step through the doors at The Gingerbread House at Katoomba and feast on fairytale sweet treats. Sip on Ginger Mule, Woodcutters Nectar, a Hansel and Gretel or Witches Brew.
