The National Zoo & Aquarium is celebrating Christmas early with our 12 Days of Enrichment for all the animals in the zoo and ending with the Zoo’s first ever Christmas concert!

From December 7 to December 19, our animals will receive special XMAS inspired enrichment items as well as special keeper talks each day! Enrichment is an integral component for both Zookeepers and their animals. It’s an opportunity to initiate natural occurring behaviours as well as strengthen relationships.

On the night of Thursday, December 19, we will run our first ever Xmas Concert for our big zoo community. There’ll be roving entertainment, food vendors, sing-a-long carols, magic, a reptile show and to top it all off… there’s whispers SANTA HIMSELF will be making an appearance!
