Reading is Magic!

• Celebrate the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s’ annual Book of the Year awards.
• Established in 1946, these annual awards aim to:
• Promote quality literature for young Australians by Australians;
• Support and encourage a wide range of Australian writers and illustrators for people aged 0 through 18;
• Celebrate contributions to Australian children’s literature.

Book Week Display

Visit each Falcon Library, Lakelands Library and Mandurah Library during Book Week and check out the Book Week displays, celebrating this year’s theme, Reading is Magic. Vote for your favourite and go into the draw for a family book pack.

Book Week Storytimes

Come along dressed as your favourite book character and enjoy stories from this year’s CBCA Book of Year Shortlist. After Storytime, there will be a craft activity and morning tea. Suitable for ages 0 – 5.

Pizza and Pyjama Storytime: Mandurah Library

Come along in your favourite pyjamas and listen to stories from this year’s shortlisted books read by the library team. Enjoy a fruit cup during stories and pizza to finish.
