The Canberra Half Marathon, which has been conducted for over 50 years, is held in May of each year.

The event start line is on Flynn Drive in Yarralumla and the 21.1-kilometre course follows the beautiful West Basin loop around Lake Burley Griffin. The finish line, in leafy Lennox Gardens, provides runners with spectacular finish line photos.

The Canberra Half Marathon also includes a 1.6-kilometre event for children aged under 12 years of age. In 2024, for the first time, there will also be a 10 kilometre event.
