This Christmas come along on a magical treasure hunt through Melbourne’s city centre. Collect a treasure map from Mary Martin Bookshop and embark on a quest for clues among Melbourne’s landmarks.

This year’s treasure map was designed by children’s author and illustrator Judith Rossell and is based on The Midwatch, a brilliant mystery adventure story. Set in a big city in the 1920s at a spy school called the Midwatch Institute, this illustrated chapter book is the perfect setting for this year’s adventure.

The treasure hunt begins and ends at Mary Martin Bookshop and is aimed at children between 5 and 12 (although all are welcome to take part). This year’s route takes approximately an hour and a half to complete and includes short stretches by tram.

All children who complete the treasure hunt and solve the code will receive a small prize.
