Scienceworks is welcoming all curious kids, big and small, to a spring school holidays full of spectacular science. Visit between Saturday 21 September – Sunday 6 October for a full program that will stimulate all your senses!
Keep an ear out for the free amphitheatre show Good Vibrations daily at noon and discover how sound is created and detected, see slime wiggling to music, and explore the weird ways animals use noise. You may need to cover your ears for the Glow Show as you come face-to-face with the fascinating science behind luminosity and the many ways glow can be produced.
Don’t get wet at FlushBack, Scienceworks’ award-winning AR adventure that brings to life the heritage listed Spotswood Pumping Station. Go to Mars with Tycho as he blasts off to discover the red planet in an out-of-this-world Planetarium show in surround sound and visuals. Hear all the smelly stories of the Pumping Station’s history and see how items you can count in the Collection Store guided walks.
Finally, whoosh over to Air Playground and play with air, the amazing invisible elemental force, and experience hands-on the science of aerodynamic and let science blow you away.
