On 16 November, the Rotary Club of Longford will host a spectacular car and live music event at the Longford Showgrounds, themed Timeless Beauties and Tunes. With proceeds being donated to Speak Up! Stay ChatTY, a mental health awareness initiative, the day promises to be a fun-filled celebration with a meaningful cause at its heart.

The Rotary Club is hoping for a successful turnout, building on the success of a similar event held in the past. Local car enthusiasts have rallied behind the cause, and with over 150 classic and vintage vehicles expected, the Showgrounds will be transformed into a paradise for auto lovers. Shannons, the well-known car insurer, has helped advertise the event to their network, adding even more momentum.

But it’s not just about the cars. The show will also feature great live music, creating an atmosphere where the community can come together to enjoy timeless tunes while supporting a worthy cause.

Organising an event of this scale requires significant time, effort, and resources, and the Rotary Club is seeking support from the local community. Sponsorships, donations, and trade displays are needed to cover costs, and there will be plenty of room around the show arena for advertising and display sites. The Club will also hold raffles on the day, and donated prizes – whether goods or services – will be much appreciated.
