Join us for a magical evening at the Darwin Waterfront on Saturday, 07 September 2024 from 3 PM to 9 PM as we celebrate the Vietnamese Lantern Festival 2024! This family-friendly event is free and open to everyone, so bring your loved ones and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and festivities. This event is proudly organized by the Australian Vietnamese Family Association Inc (AVFA) and sponsored by the Northern Territory Government and Darwin Waterfront. After a successful first year, we are thrilled to be back at the Darwin Waterfront for the second year in a row.
Lantern Lights Display: Witness the stunning array of lanterns illuminating the night sky.
Photobooth: Capture beautiful memories with our themed photobooth. Big Moon Display: Marvel at the grandeur of our big moon display.
Performances: Enjoy a variety of traditional and contemporary performances.
Activities: Participate in Vietnamese folk games, get your face painted, and watch amazing balloon twisting artists.
Lotus Lantern Release: Be part of the serene lotus lantern release on the water.
Fireworks: End the night with a spectacular fireworks display.
Vietnamese Food Vendors: Savor the delicious flavors of authentic Vietnamese cuisine from our numerous food vendors.
