AQWA-The Aquarium of WA – Whale Watching

The whales are here! Right now more than 35,000 humpback whales are migrating to Antarctica and you can watch these acrobatic ocean giants, just 20 minutes north of Perth in Hillarys. AQWA the Aquarium of Western Australia works with two premium charter companies in Hillarys Boat Harbour to deliver a whale watching experience with a difference! When you book an AQWA sponsored whale watching package you receive an on-board AQWA Ocean Guide, sharing expert information, local knowledge and whale behaviour interpretation. You can go on an Ocean Safari with Mills Charters for a full-day marine extravaganza, where you’ll get a 3-4 hour safari through Marmion Marine Park and beyond. This package is available on Wednesdays and includes AQWA entry for after your voyage. If you’re strapped for time but eager for a taste of the wild side, Rottnest Fast Ferries departs most days for a 2 hour whale watching cruise aboard a luxury ferry, with the option to add AQWA entry and save. For peace of mind AQWA sponsored packages include unique itineraries, certified premium vessels and guaranteed humpback whale sightings, or you get to go again. Perth whale watching season runs August-December, so get in now before the whales are gone! Bookings essential. Both charter companies depart from Hillarys Boat Harbour, Southside Drive. For prices, packages and bookings, please contact: Mills Charters: 08 9246 5334. Ocean Safari departs Wednesdays at 9am. Rottnest Fast Ferries: 08 9246 1039. Departs most days at 10.30am (not available Tuesday & Thursday). AQWA on-board Ocean Guide only available on aforementioned days.
