Two great nations with a fierce sporting rivalry head to head in the original extreme sport of jousting at the inaugural Australia vs England Jousting Tournament.
On the 2nd and 3rd of November, Kryal Castle, Ballarat will host this fierce clash for the sacred urn containing the ashes of a lance ceremonially burned at Arundel Castle in England.
“England may have invented jousting, but Australia perfected it” says the Australian team captain and solid lance world champion, Phillip Leitch.
For two days, over four sessions of jousting, three of the best competitors of each country will bring their brutal best against on the hallowed ground of Kryal Castle’s tournament arena. In 2018, for the first time, an Australia competed at the auspicious “Royal Armouries Easter Tournament” in the United Kingdom and won! Now it’s England’s chance to balance the ledger when they travel to Australia. We will discover who are the greatest jousters in the Commonwealth.
