Home to Australia’s highest zipline and incredible Treetop Walk experience.
Immerse yourself in the Illawarra Rainforest on a 1.5km return walk with 500 metres of elevated steel walkway, rising 20-30 metres above the forest floor. This walkway features two gently swaying cantilevered arms and a central tower raised 45 metres off the ground! Positioned 710 metres above sea level, the stunning panoramic views take in everything from the rainforest canopy, coastal towns and out to the Pacific Ocean. Then, as you make your way back on the trail, there is an optional bushwalking track which leads you on a short walk through a different part of the forest and back to the Visitor Centre.
Looking to add to the adventure? Officially the highest zipline in Australia, the Illawarra Fly Zipline Tour involves flying on a series of cable spans and suspension bridges up to 35 metres high! Experienced guides control all departures and arrivals, whilst providing you with an insight into the forest’s history and its features. The Zipline Tour includes access to the Treetop Walk, creating a 2.5 hour experience where you can truly get lost in the natural environment. Suitable for ages 4 and up, it’s the perfect “my first zip” experience and a great day out for the whole family!
Café 106, situated in the Visitor Centre, offers delicious food and hot beverages and is opened every day during Summer and Thursday-Sunday during Winter. There is also a retail store for you to browse around with a range of different products for both kids and adults including clothing, candles and keep cups!
The facility also has wheelchair and pram accessible and those with limited mobility can take advantage of the free courtesy cart to get them to and from the steel walkway.
