Fresh Funk dance tutors will introduce young ones to Street-funk dance\, giving participants the opportunity to learn a dance routine and have fun exploring this popular style of dance. After lunch\, musicians Katie and Jess Cole will lead high-energy music sessions where everyone gets involved\, in fun collaborative music making. \n\n\n\n\nProgram schedule\n9:20 – 9:30am – Registration TAC reception (parents/carers) \n9:30am – 10:45am – Drama  (all ages) \n10:45am – 11:00am – Recess* \n11:00am – 12:15pm – Art workshop (9-12yrs) / Street-funk dance (6-8yrs) \n12:15pm – 12:35pm – Lunch* \n12:35pm – 1:45pm – Music making with Katie and Jess (all ages) \n1:45pm – 3:00pm – Art workshop (6-8yrs) / Street-funk dance (9-12yrs) \n\n\n\n\n\nNotes\nPlease make sure that you bring your own recess\, lunch and a water bottle. \nYou will also need to wear enclosed shoes and clothes suitable for art and movement. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the tutors\nDrama – Daniel Streatfield\nDaniel Streatfield is the tutor for Tuggeranong Art Centre’s popular Funky Fairytales drama class. Dan has a great way of helping young actors gain confidence in voice projection and characterisation\, script-writing\, working in small groups and performing on the stage. Having grown up on the stage\, Daniel brings natural talent as well as academic qualifications to his theatre workshops. An experienced tutor in drama\, writing and musicals\, he brings out the best in his students with his humour and warm teaching style. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nDaniel Streatfield. Completing a Bachelor of Arts at ANU\, she was the recipient of the BCC Patron Award for her graduating work. Following her time at ANU\, Gina went on to study Conservation and Land Management\, and Horticulture\, fostering her interest in the natural world. Gina has exhibited her work within the ACT and surrounds\, and is interested in exploring nature and its intersections with art. She is passionate about teaching students of all ages as well celebrating art in all of its embodiments. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nGina Chapman. With years of experience in dance and other performing arts\, Noah is also a kind and inclusive tutor\, who will make sure the class is lots of fun even if you’ve never danced before. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nNoah Gorrell. She founded and directs the band\, The Ukeladies\, improvises on violin at many venues around Canberra\, is conductor of the Andante Andante ABBA choir.
