SUMMARY:LUMINESCENCE | Science Week 2026
DESCRIPTION:What will you see when the lights go out? \nOn special nights of the year in the oceans and the forests of our South Coast home\, we can stumble across glittering scenes of bioluminescence; a clump of ghost mushrooms inhabiting a dead tree stump\, fireflies dancing\, or we can swim in Jervis Bay with the phosphorescent plankton that twinkle like stars around us. Adults and children learn and play side by side creating the setting for a luminescent world. Each session is unique to the audience that builds and directs the interactive experience. \nCome and create your own glowing world and play with the science of light this Science Week at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum. \n  \nWith three performance dates:\nSaturday 15th August – 11am\, 1.30pm\, 3.30pm\nSunday 16th August– 11am\, 1.30pm\, 3.30pm\nMonday 17th August– 10am\, 12pm \nTickets Now Available \nAdult $20 |  Child $15 \nTicket price includes Luminescence experience and Museum Entry \n  \nLuminescence was originally commissioned by OpenField Arts Festival. \nThis Inspiring Australia NSW initiative is supported by the Australian Government as part of National Science Week
