All have a refined style\, often their whole painting will consist of patterns of individual fine dots\, reflecting their story and Arawerre country. \nThey also paint stories associated with Atnwengerrp and Irrweltye their mother’s country.

DESCRIPTION:Softplay playgroup for 6mo-4 years with equipment from Centre Softplay in ASALC’s air-conditioned gym rooms.\n\n\n\nJoin Birth and Beyond for a softplay playgroup at the Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre – 9.30am – 11.30 am Tuesdays – 6th\, 13th\, 20th\, and 27th January\, 2026 \n10 Speed St\, The Gap – suitable for ages 6mo-4 years \nJoin us for a fun softplay playgroup from Centre Softplay in ASALC’s air-conditioned gym rooms\, before the heat of the day takes over. A light fruit morning tea will be provided in our picnic space on the lawns and other items available from ASALC’s Cafe. \nDue to limited space\, registrations are essential – please ensure you book for each week you would like to attend. One ticket covers one adult and up to two children. \nPlease note: Entry to ASALC is free during the school holidays. \nParents are expected to attend the playgroup with their children and ensure their child is dry and wearing socks before using Centre Softplay’s equipment. \nThanks to the Alice Springs Town Council for making these playgroups possible via their Community Events Grants program.

DESCRIPTION:A Monkey Baa Theatre Company and QPAC’s Out of the Box co-production\nWhere is the Green Sheep?\nBased on the book by Mem Fox and Judy Horacek\nWritten for the stage and directed by Eva Di Cesare \nWhere is the Green Sheep? is an immersive visual theatre experience based on the beloved children’s book by Mem Fox and Judy Horacek. We meet Blue Sheep who loves blue flowers and Red Sheep who loves to cartwheel in the fields\, Bath Sheep who loves bubbles and Bed Sheep who loves to bounce… But where IS that Green Sheep? \nBlending puppetry and animation\, this beautiful production invites young audiences to join our three farmers on their quest to find the elusive Green Sheep. Co-created with students from Bankstown West Public School\, this production integrates their voices as narrators\, ensuring the work resonates deeply with young audiences. \n‘A charming\, clever and irresistibly woolly adventure that enchants tiny humans and big kids alike’ STAGE WHISPERS \nPerformance warning\nSuitable for ages 1-6 and their families. Contains smoke effects. \nPost-show talk\nEnjoy a Q&A with the cast and company following the performance. \nRelaxed Performance – Thu 19 February 10.30am\nRelaxed Performances are open to everyone\, but the environment has been adapted so that individuals with disability\, sensory and learning challenges\, or anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment\, can access live performance experiences without barriers. The house lights are dimmed\, patrons can easily exit the theatre\, the atmosphere is non-judgemental\, and noisy enthusiasm is embraced.
