DESCRIPTION:Entertain the kids by taking the outdoor adventure challenge in the heritage-listed Fitzroy Gardens. \nStarting off at the Fitzroy Gardens Visitor Centre\, kids will collect their map and then head off on their hunt to answer 12 questions around the gardens. \nSuitable for primary school-aged children but adult assistance is necessary. Remember to bring along a pen or marker. \nThe Visitor Centre also offers a free activity for younger children – Seek and Find. A bingo-style activity to assist exploring nature around the gardens. \nThe Visitor Centre is open every day except Christmas Day\, 25 December.

Held across two action-packed days\, the 2025 Festival invites runners of all ages and abilities to take part in a variety of scenic race events. Whether you & #39; re chasing a personal best or cheering from the tracks\, there & #39 ; something for everyone. \nDAY ONE: FAMILY FUN AT EMERALD LAKE PARK\nSaturday kicks off at 10.00 am with the much-loved 1.2km Kids Dash and 5km\nFamily Fun Run/Walk\, set around the picturesque Emerald Lake Park. With the\niconic Puffing Billy steam train sounding off in the background\, little legs and family\nteams alike will be encouraged along the trail. After the race\, enjoy a day of free\nfamily entertainment and activities at the Lakeside Visitor Centre. \nDAY TWO: THE CLASSIC RACE AGAINST THE TRAIN\nSunday sees the return of the legendary 13.5km ‘Classic’\, where up to 2\,500 runners\nwill challenge the mighty Puffing Billy from Belgrave to Emerald Lake Park starting at\n8.45 am.
