DESCRIPTION:All aboard for a fun-filled school holiday program at the Bellarine Railway. \nThis April school holidays\, the Bellarine Railway is inviting families to jump aboard a range of fun\, family -friendly train experiences\, from meeting Thomas and the Easter Bunny to relaxing scenic trips along beautiful Swan Bay. With events running across the school holiday period\, there is something for everyone to enjoy. \nGood Friday Appeal trips: 3 April 2026\nTake a scenic steam train journey along Swan Bay and enjoy a relaxing ride while supporting a great cause. The Bellarine Railway will donate the proceeds from these trips to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. Thanks to the generosity of patrons\, the Bellarine Railway raised $5\,000 for the Appeal last year and hopes to raise even more this year. \nTrips operate every hour from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm\, with 45-minute return journeys from Queenscliff Station to Lakers Siding\, which includes a 15-minute stop at Lakers Siding. \nEaster Specials: 4 and 5 April 2026\nHop on board and enjoy a steam train journey from Queenscliff. The Easter Bunny will welcome everyone at the halfway point and pose for photos using your own camera. \nChildren are encouraged to wear an Easter bonnet they made at home. These 60-minute specials include a 30-minute stop at Lakers Siding for families to meet the Easter Bunny\, take photos\, and enjoy a chocolate\ntreat. \nSwan Bay Express: 6\, 7\, 9\, 14\, 16\, 25 and 26 April 2026\nFor a more relaxed outing\, the Swan Bay Express offers a peaceful 45-minute (with 15-minute stopover)\nscenic journey along Swan Bay. Each journey includes a 15-minute stop at Lakers Siding so passengers can\nalight and watch the locomotive change ends and couple back up.
