DESCRIPTION:The much-loved Nannup Music Festival presents an eclectic mix of live acts over the March long weekend each year\, set to the stunning backdrop of Western Australia’s South West and the small-town atmosphere of Nannup. \nA truly regional event\, the NMF has been running since 1990 and has consistently proven to be one of the most anticipated events in Australia’s music calendar. Over its long course\, it has created life-lasting memories for multiple generations of audiences and earned an acclaimed reputation among national and international performers.​ It is proud to showcase new talent\, originality\, excellence\, culture and Indigenous heritage\, through a diverse and high quality program\, which always promises and delivers a ‘weekend of discovery’ for the music lover. \nThe festival highlights the best in new\, emerging and Indigenous music over free and ticketed venues\, presents the Nannup Emerging Artists Award\, and offers workshops\, talks\, poetry\, camping\, kids activities\, food and artisan markets Over 100 acts across 8 stages\, framed by workshops\, kids’ activities\, camping\, food and market vendors\, and supported by over 450 volunteers\, create an inspiring festival experience enjoyed daily by 5\,000 ticket holders and over 3\,000 visitors. \nNannup is part of Nyoongar Boodjar lands and is home to 14 language groups. Nannup town is situated on the lands of the Bibbulmun people\, and the north side of the Blackwood River (Bilyar Goorbillyup) becomes Wardandi country. The festival takes place during Bunuru – Second summer (season of adolescence). We love\, honour and cherish this place\, and we are committed to respecting\, protecting\, and sustaining it both culturally and environmentally. Through every action\, we strive to tread lightly\, celebrate Country\, and ensure it is nurtured and preserved for generations to come.

The Hyde Park Festival is free for every family member including your four-legged friends\, with over 50 food stalls\, 200 market stalls\, rides for all ages\, and free activations for families to get involved in (including your favourite animals). What to expect: \n\nMarket stalls\, makers\, creators & artisan goods\nFood trucks from all over WA\nShow bags\nLive music\, bands\, dance groups and cultural performances\nKids entertainment\, roaming performers & Talent in the Park\nPicnic-perfect vibes under the shady trees at Hyde Park\n\nHyde Park Festival is two days of non-stop fun\, and there is so much to choose from. All proceeds raised by The Rotary Club of North Perth will be donated to Little Things for Tiny Tots\, providing essential baby care items to families doing it tough. Making your attendance at this free community event all the more important. \nGETTING THERE  \nLet’s keep the neighbourhood accessible and enjoyable for everyone. With limited parking around Hyde Park\, here are some tips to ensure a smooth journey: A free shuttle bus service will be running from 10am – 6pm on Sunday\, March 1 and from 9am – 4pm on Monday\, March 2.The shuttle will run on an hour loop from the following locations: \n\nBrisbane Street carpark – on the hour (Example: 10am)\nThe City of Vincent Library\, Loftus Centre carpark – 15 minutes past the hour (Example: 10:15am)\nEast Perth Train Station\, Summers Street – 30 minutes past the hour (Example: 10:30am)\nHyde Park Festival – 45 minutes past the hour (Example: 10:45am)\n\nBuses conveniently stop right outside Hyde Park\, plan your journey here. Make the most of the carparks on Beaufort Street (Barlee Street\, Chelmsford Road and Raglan-Road)\, then walk down to Hyde Park. Leave the car at home and use your bike or walk to Hyde Park.Join the Facebook event here.View the event website here.
