City of Melbourne – Pachyderm Play Time at Melbourne Zoo

Have you always wanted to know how to wash the largest land mammal in the world? Now you can spend all summer long finding out how. Stop past the barn every day to find out or catch the twice-daily Keeper Talk. Asian Elephant calf Mali made history in 2010 as the first female elephant calf born in Australia, and ever since she has captured the hearts of Melburnians. The little darling will be celebrating her seventh birthday in January 2017, so be sure to come back to see just how tall she has grown. These days, she’s just as tall as the others in the herd so look for the elephant with the squiggly tail! Admission: Full $32.40, members free. Kids free during Victorian government school holidays.
