SUMMARY:Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School - The Christmas Star
DESCRIPTION:On Christmas Eve at the Mindil Beach Christmas Markets\, siblings Eli (8) and Grace (11) are suddenly separated from their parents when a tropical storm hits. \nAs they try to find their way back\, they notice a bright star in the sky and decide to follow it. Along their journey\, they meet various groups (symbolised by each class) who represent joy\, kindness\, celebration\, and hope – themes connected to the meaning of Christmas\, the Nativity and the Pilgrims of Hope. \nThe journey ends with a joyful reunion and a celebration of God’s guidance and the magic of Christmas. \nJoin us in celebrating the creativity and spirit of Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School’s students as they bring this heart-warming Christmas story to life on stage.

SUMMARY:Royal Existence Dance Academy - Resound
DESCRIPTION:Music has a profound impact on our lives\, shaping our thoughts\, guiding our emotions and echoing in the choices we make. It resonates deep within us\, often in ways we don’t even realise\, and its influence can be truly resounding.\nResound is more than a dance concert\, it’s a celebration of music’s ability to leave a lasting imprint. Through compelling choreography and powerful performance\, the dancers embody the echoes of melodies that uplift\, inspire and transform. Each piece is a reflection of how music reverberates through the soul\, guiding movements\, sparking joy and carrying messages of hope and connection. \nResound explores the music that leaves us better than it found us\, the songs that linger long after the final note\, echoing in our hearts. \nLet the music move you. Let the message stay with you. \nCome and experience the echo. \nLet its message resound.

SUMMARY:Future Council - Special Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:Millions of children around the world are frustrated by the dire lack of action to protect the planet and their future. Until now\, their only avenue to express these concerns has been protesting on the streets. \nDirector Damon Gameau (2040\, That Sugar Film) takes eight children on an epic adventure across Europe in a school bus powered by biofuel. Their mission is to better understand the planet’s predicament\, explore solutions and\, most importantly\, take the conversation from the streets\, into the boardrooms of some of the world’s largest polluters and most influential companies. \nTheir bold\, hopeful journey leads to the creation of a Future Council: young changemakers working with big business to shape a better world. \nCommunity Food Forests in City Beach is proud to present FUTURE COUNCIL on Sunday\, 9 November\, at 4:00pm. It will be followed by a Director’s Q&A at 5:30pm (optional). This event is suitable for all ages. \nProceeds from this event will directly support community gardening projects.
