SUMMARY:LUMINESCENCE | Science Week 2026
DESCRIPTION:What will you see when the lights go out? \nOn special nights of the year in the oceans and the forests of our South Coast home\, we can stumble across glittering scenes of bioluminescence; a clump of ghost mushrooms inhabiting a dead tree stump\, fireflies dancing\, or we can swim in Jervis Bay with the phosphorescent plankton that twinkle like stars around us. It’s seems like magic. \nLuminescence – Discovery of a Glowing World is an interactive theatrical experience inspired by the wonder and science of all that glows in the natural world. An exploration and discovery for young children of nature and bioluminescence – the amazing natural glowing phenomenon caused by the bio-chemical reaction of luciferin with oxygen. \nNic-Nac Theatre Company invites participants to explore and recreate these glowing worlds that inspire wonder and awe. Adults and children learn and play side by side creating the setting for a luminescent world. Each session is unique to the audience that builds and directs the interactive experience. \nCome and create your own glowing world and play with the science of light this Science Week at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum. \n  \nWith three performance dates:\nSaturday 15th August – 11am\, 1.30pm\, 3.30pm\nSunday 16th August– 11am\, 1.30pm\, 3.30pm\nMonday 17th August– 10am\, 12pm \nTickets Now Available \nAdult $20 |  Child $15 \nTicket price includes Luminescence experience and Museum Entry \n  \nLuminescence was originally commissioned by OpenField Arts Festival. \nThis Inspiring Australia NSW initiative is supported by the Australian Government as part of National Science Week

SUMMARY:Emma Memma's Jungle Picnic Tour
DESCRIPTION:The Jungle Picnic tour brings Emma Memma’s much-anticipated new album to life on stage\, transforming its playful songs into a joyful\, movement-filled live experience for children and their families. Inspired by the Jungle Picnic album\, the show invites audiences to bring their picnic baskets and their pet rocks\, jump up and dance with the elephants\, sing along to deliciously catchy tunes\, and play games alongside Emma Memma and her Memma mates. \nFeaturing energetic dance moves\, get-up-and-dance songs and inclusive storytelling\, the performance celebrates imagination\, outdoor adventure and shared play. Designed especially for young children\, the tour continues Emma Memma’s signature integration of sign language as a joyful and accessible way to communicate\, marking the next chapter in Emma Memma’s live journey as the brand heads into its biggest year yet. \nEvery Emma Memma live performance is presented with an Auslan interpreter positioned side-of-stage\, interpreting the music and storytelling throughout the show. In addition\, Emma Memma and Elvin Melvin sign throughout each performance\, ensuring sign language is naturally integrated into the experience rather than treated as an add-on. \nFamilies who require seating with a clear view of the interpreter are warmly encouraged to get in touch with the team ahead of time via boxoffice@yourcentre.com.au or call on (08) 8980 3333\, so arrangements can be made to support the best possible viewing experience.
