Seashells Scarborough – Sunset Market

As the much-anticipated revitalisation of Scarborough moves into its final stages, the Scarborough Beach Association (SBA) are delighted to welcome the people of Perth and beyond back to the iconic area with the launch of the weekly (Thursday night) Scarborough Sunset Markets*.

Kicking off Thursday December 14 and taking over the Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre, each week the beachfront will ignite into a celebration of all that makes this location truly special – mesmerising sunsets, crystal blue ocean, crisp white sands, a foodies’ oasis, thirst quenching bevieslive music, creative artists and curated pop up stores– while encouraging locals, families and visitors to begin rediscovering Scarborough.

The Scarborough Sunset Markets are a primary initiative of the SBA Action Plan – which aims to work with local residents, businesses, Government and community groups to develop vibrant and creative activation’s that encourage an exciting beach lifestyle. With the development still in progress, the markets will encourage people to return to Scarborough and provide much needed support to the local businesses and community over the summer months. As the development completion rolls out, so too the markets will grow into the newly created spaces.

Suburban Markets are hot at the moment – but nothing will beat spending your summer nights on Scarborough Beach with your toes in the sand as you wander through a global market of culinary delights.

Thursday nights in Perth will never be the same again! The Scarborough Sunset Markets are set to become WA’s most iconic beach side event for tourist and locals alike.

Visitors are encouraged to use #marketsandmoments to share their unique market moments and allow the SBA to share Scarborough with the world.

The Scarborough Sunset Markets acknowledges the traditional owners – the Noongar People – the custodians of the land on which we work. We pay respect to their elders both past and present.
