Enjoy Friday afternoons and early evenings from late April to the end of October at the Palmerston Markets located in the central Goyder Square area, opposite the Library.
An array of fresh fruit and vegetable stalls selling mainly local produce entice many people to come each week for their supplies. There are stalls selling Asian curries, soups, roast potatoes, spiral spuds, sushi, fish and chips, burgers, roast nuts, hot dogs and barbecued sea foods and more. These are complemented by delicious and healthy, fresh fruit drinks, Asian deserts, crepes, fairy floss, soft drinks, ice-creams, coffee and cakes.
The arts and craft stalls selling clothing, jewellery, phone accessories and repairs, skin care products, Indigenous art, along with Thai massage and face painting are located around the central entertainment area and down towards the water tower with the Jumping Castle and Laughing Clowns. They also have an array of different musicians, dancers and martial arts displays throughout the season.
