West Tamar Council – Beaconsfield Youth & Community Festival

During Youth Week Tasmania, the Beaconsfield Youth & Community Festival is held from 1pm to 4pm on Friday 12th April at the Beaconsfield Skate Park and Community Centre. This annual event will feature a range of free activities, inflatables, virtual reality, Youth Services, prizes, and food! With many community groups involved providing fantastic entertainment, there is sure to be something for every young person to enjoy.
The Main Stage will feature performances from young people across the West Tamar region on stage in conjunction with Rock Challenge along with other great line ups including The Fergusons. The high calibre of talent will entertain the hundreds of people attending this fantastic event.
The event highly features the creative arts and invites any young people in the West Tamar to submit their artwork in the Festival art competition. All artwork will be displayed at the Festival with judges awarding prizes in various age groups. Engaging and inclusive artwork is available for anyone to participate in on the day as well.
A Skateboard and Scooter competition host by Red Herring Surf will be held for young people aged under and over 12 years. This will commence at 12pm, one hour before the official opening of the Festival.
This Festival is a key moment to bring the community together celebrating the talent of local young people.
