The entire area around the city is like one huge holiday hideaway with many attractions, expanses of spotless beaches and waterways and and things to do for all types of families.

Cottesloe Beach is picture perfect with sensational white sand beaches and shady Norfolk pines it offers a perfect setting for a family day out. It is one of the city’s most popular spots for swimming, snorkelling and surfing. The buzzing boulevard is home to a range of restaurants and cafes. In March you will see Sculpture by the Sea transform the foreshore with spectacular sand sculptures.

Scarborough Beach is another favourite among families. It has swimming, body surfing and surfing all available. The beach also has a ‘pool’, which is geo-thermally heated. It also features an outdoor amphitheatre which in summer hosts a range of events.
