About the event
Have your children outgrown their clothes? Or is their wardrobe too full of clothes they simply don’t wear?
Join us at City’s Administration Centre for our Kids’ Clothes Swap. We will provide a brief presentation on how to reduce textile waste going to landfill, how to dress your kids more sustainably, and shop mindfully.
This is a great way to declutter all those clothes that no longer fit your children and get some ‘new’ clothes for them for free.
In under two hours, you children could have a whole “new” wardrobe for free. All you need to do is bring along quality children clothes (clean with no stains, holes, damage, broken zips, etc.) and shoes, your children (age 1 to 14) don’t wear anymore (any style or season) and exchange them for items they will.
Bring up to five items and take as many as you like, and best of all, it’s FREE.
Any leftover clothes are donated.
Sustainability is a key strategic value for the city of Cockburn. The city has identified the following vision statement to ensure sustainability of its waste management services: “To lead and support a community that avoids waste generation, reduces environmental impacts and consider the waste that is produced as a valuable resource to be recovered, reused and recycled.”
