Celebrate Chinese New Year 2024, the year of the Dragon, with the Confucius Institute and Library & Archives NT!

Join us on Saturday 24 February at the Northern Territory (NT) Library to learn about Chinese culture through traditional music, movement, games and art.

The Confucius Institute’s specialist teachers will present a range of demonstrations offering insights into ancient activities still widely practised today.

Attendees will learn about classic themes in Chinese painting and be treated to a traditional tea ceremony using authentic tools and techniques.

Participate in Tai Chi Baduanjin, the Eight Brocade, and hear about the fascinating world of ancient Chinese music and instruments, while learning of the culture’s rich musical heritage.

Come for one session or stay for the day. Entry to this event is free.
