Christmas in the City is an annual event held in the heart of Launceston to bring in the beginning of the festive season. With kids activities, face-painting, late night shopping, and an appearance from Santa Claus, this is an event not to be missed!

The Brisbane Street Mall will be buzzing with Christmas cheer, offering entertainment for all ages, families and friends – followed by the lighting of the grand Christmas tree at approximately 8.30pm.

The Christmas in the City event is being coordinated by the City of Launceston in collaboration with Launceston Central City, and will feature:

Music and entertainment on the main stage
Late night shopping in participating stores
A special appearance by Santa
Storytime with Petrach’s Bookshop
Face-painting and children’s activities
Under 5s bumper cars and softplay area
SuperSillyUs Circus
The official lighting of the Christmas tree
