Community planting events enhance our parks and reserves, creating a greener city and providing habitat for native wildlife.
Council, in partnership with “Friends of” groups host a number of volunteer community planting events to support our City’s open spaces.
During the events we will plant a variety of native plants, shrubs and trees. Volunteers may also assist with weeding, watering, mulching and litter collection.
All equipment and protective wear such as gloves will be provided on the day.
Please bring along a water bottle, a hat, some snacks and remember to wear appropriate clothing and closed footwear.
To volunteer at a Community Planting Day we encourage you to pre-register via our online Community Planting Day Registration form. Those unable to pre-register may register on the day. Please speak with the Park Ranger on-site upon your arrival.
