Enjoy a fun and informative walk in the country meeting rescued horses, donkeys and ponies. Walks cover about two and a half kilometres, depending on where the animals are, and take around one and a half to two hours, with lots of stops along the way. Whilst Horse Shepherd are not a petting zoo, you will have a chance to interact with the animals if they choose.
Please come along and check out the cheeky goats and ponies. You might be lucky enough to see the peacocks fanning their tails and the turkeys dancing in time to the honking of the geese. Morrie the sheep is sure to make an appearance and there may even be a llama or two lurking on the hillside.
Please note that Horse Shepherd is a working farm so there will be mud and puddles in winter, heat and dust in summer and horses moving about in the care of the wonderful staff.
Unfortunately due to the number of animals at the Sanctuary, they are unable to accommodate pets.
