Fire Engine Fun began in Perth WA 24 years ago when two Firefighters decided to convert a Retired Bedford J2 series Fire Engine into a Charter vehicle. They reduced the size of the water tank and increased the size of the passenger compartment to carry more passengers. The Fire Engine was also fitted with shade and rain covers. The Fire Engine was then granted approval by DOT to carry members of the public for Charter. It went from carrying Firefighters to emergency situations, to being used for a much a more fun role in Perth WA. The beautiful old Fire Engine began to be mostly booked out for children’s parties, and that remains the main thing until this very day! It has gone from attending emergencies in it’s youth, to only having fun events, what a great way to spend retirement!
