The Royal Australian Mint located at Deakin, Canberra is temporarily closed to visitors as we freshen up for our 60th birthday. We look forward to welcoming you back in Spring 2024 with new galleries, a new shop and improved amenities. But never fear, the Mint Coin Shop and a special exhibition titled Change: Stories from your pocket has relocated to the Canberra Museum and Gallery (CMAG) in the heart of Canberra. The new exhibition, explores how our coins tell the stories of Australia – and asks what the future of currency might look like.
