Step into a world of cenpasuchil, candles, skulls, and altars as we transform In The Hanging Garden into a glowing sanctuary filled with music, dance, and ancestral spirit.

Organised by Paradise Live Entertainment, this event has become a beloved annual tradition in Hobart’s cultural calendar, welcoming hundreds of people from all backgrounds to celebrate Latin American heritage in a meaningful and joyful way.

Come dressed in your finest Day of the Dead outfit, bring a photo or offering for the altar, and let’s honour life together.

• Traditional Mexican Panteón installation and community altar (ofrenda) created by the local Mexican community.
• Guided explanations by community members about the meaning of each element of the altar and pantheon.
• Children’s craft workshops with traditional Mexican activities, led by artists from our community.

• Mexican folk installations and crafts.
• Immersive audiovisual experience showcasing powerful images of Mexican culture.
