Romp & Stomp: Into the Wild invites young explorers and their families on a museum-wide adventure through the wonders of the natural world. For one spectacular day only, Melbourne Museum transforms into a playful celebration of animals, habitats and the planet we call home. Bursting with music, movement, storytelling and hands-on creativity, celebrate play, wonder and the planet we all share.
Whether you’re leaping like a lizard, fluttering like a butterfly or dancing through the forest, there’s something unforgettable around every corner. Created especially for kids and families, and open to everyone, this Children’s Week event is not to be missed.
What to Expect
Emma Memma will be performing on a stage in the main foyer. You will require Museum General Entry Admission tickets to access the foyer for the performance.Capacity in this space is limited and we recommend booking your tickets in advance and arriving early to access the foyer performance space.
General Admission does not guarantee access to the foyer and once capacity is reached, access to the foyer will be closed. The main foyer will be a pram free zone in the lead up and during the Emma Memma performance (between 12-2pm). Please plan to leave your pram in a designated pram parking area and bring your valuables with you. If we reach capacity in the main foyer for the Emma Memma performance, there will be plenty of space to enjoy the show via livestream outside from the Museum Plaza.
All events on the main stage are Auslan interpreted.
