Melbourne Victory FC

Melbourne Victory FC is one of Australia’s most well-known football clubs and is often called the club for all Victorians. Its main goal is to make football accessible and empowering for every young person in Victoria. Through football, the club helps young people enjoy an active and healthy life while developing important skills like teamwork, confidence, and leadership.

The club is committed to social inclusion, gender equity, youth engagement, and education. Melbourne Victory uses football to bring people together, reduce barriers to sport, and provide opportunities for young Victorians from all backgrounds to participate and grow.

Melbourne Victory Games

Watching a Melbourne Victory game is a fun experience for families and football fans. The club plays exciting matches in the A-League, where both the men’s and women’s teams compete at a high level. Home games are usually held at AAMI Park in Melbourne, where fans can enjoy a lively atmosphere, cheer for their favourite players, and take part in matchday activities.

Melbourne Victory Soccer

Melbourne Victory runs a wide range of soccer programs for children and teenagers, including school holiday programs, ongoing school sessions, and community initiatives. These programs are designed to make football accessible to all and help young people develop both on and off the pitch.

School Holiday Programs

During each school holiday, Melbourne Victory offers a School Holiday Program funded by the Victorian Government. Secondary school students can join to enjoy football training, games, and activities that also focus on wellbeing, leadership, and teamwork.

The program is inclusive and encourages participation from students from multicultural backgrounds or those who might face barriers to accessing sport. In a recent winter program, 173 young people from over 50 schools and 30 different cultural backgrounds took part. Participants develop football skills, make new friends, and gain confidence, all in a fun, safe environment.

School of Football

The School of Football program takes football into schools across Victoria. It is designed to increase student engagement, motivation, and academic achievement through weekly coaching sessions and leadership workshops. Students learn teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience while participating in football training.

The program is tailored to each school’s needs and can include special opportunities such as training sessions with visiting international clubs. Students not only improve their football skills but also gain important life skills and a stronger connection to their school community.

Victory in the Community

Melbourne Victory also offers school visits through its Victory in the Community program. Coaches deliver fun football sessions combined with lessons on wellbeing, communication, and personal development. Schools can book one-off or long-term sessions, giving students a chance to develop skills for learning, life, and work.

Student FC

Another community initiative, Student FC, helps international students join football teams, develop social connections, and improve their wellbeing. Students can play in community competitions or gain experience in administrative roles, learning valuable employability skills.
