Christmas in July Festival returns to The Rocks

July 10 @ 4:00 pm - July 19 @ 11:00 pm AEST

Sydney’s favourite winter celebration is back as the Christmas in July Festival returns to The Rocks from 10–19 July 2026, transforming the historic precinct into a glowing European-inspired winter village.

Following a hugely successful 10-day run last year, the free-entry festival is set to bring back its signature mix of snowfall moments, fairy-lit laneways, live music, artisan markets, festive food, and cosy winter experiences for all ages.

Across ten magical nights, visitors can wander through rows of traditional European-style wooden chalets set against The Rocks’ sandstone streets, showcasing over 30 vendors offering handmade gifts, festive treats, winter drinks, and immersive food experiences inspired by Christmas markets in France, Germany and the Alps.

A highlight returns in the form of Snow Lane in Kendall Lane, where snow falls beneath glowing lights, surrounded by mulled wine bars, raclette, fondue, hot chocolates, winter desserts, fire pits, and curated artisan shopping.

Christmas in July Festival has quickly become a Sydney winter tradition—an invitation to wrap up warm, gather with friends, and enjoy the simple joy of festive food, music, and atmosphere in one of the city’s most iconic locations.

As Festival Director Vincent Hernandez puts it:

“Walking through glowing chalets, sharing mulled wine under fairy lights, and watching snow fall in The Rocks has become something people truly make part of their winter traditions.”
