Richmond, Tasmania is a delightful town known for its historical charm and cosy ambiance. Nestled within this picturesque town lies a one-of-a-kind Richmond attraction that promises to enchant visitors – Amaze Richmond. This exceptional attraction provides a distinctive experience that caters to families, couples, and solo travellers alike.
Richmond Maze
If you have come to explore the two incredible mazes, you will not be disappointed – whether you are 2 years old or 102!
The challenge in the Hedge Maze is not just finding your way out, but discovering all 31 of the native Tasmanian animals hidden throughout the many winding paths of the maze. The hedge is grown from pittosporum and took over 6 years to reach the current height of more than two metres. Chris, Head Hedge Horticulturalist, spends the days pruning and tending the hedge every season to ensure it is in tip-top condition.
Uppie’s Timber Maze is a different adventure. There are codes to crack, a hidden tunnel, and a lookout that gives you a commanding view of the site. And the maze itself is a bit more complex, with the wooden walls not giving away any hints as to which direction you might be facing. But beware, there are doors that can be opened and closed to change the paths in the maze – so it is probably going to be different every time you visit.
Enjoy Quality Time at the Cafe
After navigating the maze together, families can unwind at the Cafe. Head Chef, Ben Coleman, loves good food. But more importantly, he loves to cook good food and share it with as many people as possible.
The new kitchen culture at Amaze Richmond has fresh Tasmanian produce at its heart, and we guarantee your belly will be impressed too. Think of salads with international flavours and an ever-changing specials board including seafood and a range of pastries and cakes.
