Different Horse Riding Options
Cradle Country Adventures offer some of the best horse riding in Tasmania They operate in 3 unique locations: Kimberley (near Sheffield), located in the beautiful Mersey Valley; Cradle Mountain in the Vale of Belvoir Conservation Area; and Bakers Beach (Narawntapu National Park).
It doesn’t matter if you’re a novice or an advanced horse person; our horse riding gives you the chance to live it up outdoors in the classic Australian experience.
Cradle Mountain Horse Riding
- 4 hour ride(minimum 2 people) includes lunch half-way through the ride.
- Tour Inclusion: Safety briefing, Helmets and Drizabone coats, Experienced guide/s, Tour time: 10:30am
Kimberley Horse Riding
- 2 hour ride
- 3 hour ride
- Full day ride (including lunch)
- Private rides available – surcharge of 30%

Bakers Beach Horse Riding
Experience horse riding on the beach. Get a safety briefing at Narawntapu National Park horse yards and get to know your horse.
They offer two different Beach rides (3 and 5 hours). There’s a minimum number of 2 people per booking. Starting times are dependant on tide times. Please contact Cradle Country Adventures.
- 3 hour Beach ride
- Grass Tree Bush Ride (approx. 3 hour)
- Full Day Beach and Bush ride (including lunch)

- 1 hour and a half ride including a 30min lesson
- 2 hour ride

Bakers Beach Homestead
A unique location for your stay in the heart of Narawntapu National Park in the historic Farm Cottage with 3 bedrooms, bathroom, living room and fully equipped kitchen.
Accommodation at Kimberley
The shearers quarters is basic but functional and believe us a hot shower, soft bed and cold fridge all under a roof beats the “romance” of camping out. Particularly after a long days riding. Experience a night at the shearers quarters after or before your horse-ride (private bedroom with a double or 2 single beds).
