Embark on a Family Journey

Devils@Cradle is a unique Tasmanian conservation sanctuary located at the entrance to the spectacular World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain National Park.

They provide a variety of experiences, including General Entry and Day Keeper tours throughout the day, as well as the After Dark Feeding tours in the evening, and are available 24/7.

A knowledgeable keeper of Tasmanian Devils can tell you about how they live and the problems they are facing now. They see this aspect of their work as an important tool in educating the public and helping with conservation efforts.

General Entry/Day Keeper Tours

Devils @ Cradle Wildlife Park Tasmania, Cradle Mountain Tours.

Wander through the sanctuary at your leisure see the animal’s daylight habits, sleeping in their dens, sun-baking, play fighting or fossicking for food.

General Entry is from 9.30am to 5pm.

Day Keepers tours operate daily at 10.30am & 3.00pm (tour duration is approximately 45 minutes). It is highly recommended to make a booking to avoid disappointment.

Day Feeding Tour

Lunchtime Tasmanian Devil Feeding Tour at Cradle Mountain 2024 - Cradle  Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park

Come to our guided walk during lunchtime to see all the animals at our sanctuary. The walk ends with a feeding session for the Tasmanian devils in a big enclosure. The tour starts daily at 1.00pm (tour duration is 1 hour).

The devils are very active and loud when they eat. We have a big enclosure where you can see them from all angles during feeding time.

After Dark Feeding Tours

The sanctuary comes alive in the evening! The After Dark Feeding Tour provides a memorable experience, seeing these extraordinary animals in ‘action’ each evening.

Tasmanian devils are mostly active at night. We use special lights and study how they interact and eat to give visitors a chance to see them up close while feeding. It’s an amazing sight!

Operating daily at 5:30pm (tour duration is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes). Additional 8.30pm tour operates during busy visitation periods as overflow – check availability when booking online.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access is via reception to the main viewing deck or via a side gate leading directly into the sanctuary grounds.

Be aware that the sanctuary is full of uneven terrain, steps, organic woodchip paths, platforms, and packed gravel.

Also, not all parts of the sanctuary are accessible to wheelchairs.

Sanctuary shop | Tasmanian Wildlife

The sanctuary shop is located at the main entrance. Don’t miss the chance to purchase unique sanctuary souvenirs; it’s the best way to remember your experience. There is also a small range of Tasmanian packaged foods available at the gift shop.
