Little Otto’s Big Choc Shop

Little Otto’s Big Choc Shop

If you are heading to Busselton with family or friends, Little Otto’s Big Choc Shop is a must-visit. Situated on the iconic Busselton Foreshore, this quirky chocolate shop offers a mix of chocolate, gelato, and whimsical fun for visitors of all ages. Operated by two local families who have long called the South West home, Little Otto’s brings a creative and sweet addition to Busselton’s attractions, with chocolate and gelato made fresh on-site.

New Chocolate Shop in Busselton

Little Otto’s story began with a giant blue whale named Otto, discovered in the Vasse River inlet by a local girl, Daisy, in 1897. Though Otto now resides at the Perth Museum, his playful spirit inspires the chocolate shop. Visitors can enjoy chocolate made fresh on the foreshore while exploring the shop’s whimsical displays.

The café-style setup allows families to grab gelato or a hot chocolate and choose a spot outdoors or along the foreshore. From sunrise to sunset, Otto’s is serving generous portions to sweet-toothed guests of all ages. The combination of chocolate, gelato, and amusing storytelling makes this a unique spot for anyone visiting Busselton.

Chocolate Factory Busselton

Located at 25 Marine Terrace, Little Otto’s Big Choc Shop also functions as a small chocolate factory. All products are made on-site, allowing visitors to see fresh chocolate creations and gelato being prepared. Kids especially enjoy seeing how treats are made and tasting them immediately afterwards.

Busselton

Busselton itself offers plenty of activities for families beyond Little Otto’s. The Busselton Jetty, the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, is just a short walk away. Kids will enjoy the Jetty Train, the underwater observatory, and the chance to spot marine life along the pier. The foreshore also features newly designed playgrounds, perfect for younger children, as well as picnic areas and shaded spaces for a relaxed day out.

For families who want to explore further, Busselton is well placed for day trips to nearby attractions like Forest Adventures, a high ropes course in the Ludlow Tuart Forest, or animal encounters at Sunflowers Animal Farm. Beaches along Geographe Bay offer swimming, fishing, and safe family fun, while indoor options such as Little Monsters Indoor Playground and Orana Cinemas provide entertainment in any weather.
