For the first time, the Laksa Festival Grand Finale will be held on a Saturday at the Darwin Waterfront!

The Grand Finale is always held after the festival Food Tour ends, and is a celebration of all things laksa, our multi-cultural community and this year’s participating venues and dishes.

Thousands of Territorians and visitors flock to the Finale to enjoy the many delicious laksa or laksa-inspired by dishes on-offer from amazing local venues. Attendees can expect a program packed with cooking demonstrations, roving entertainment and live music – the full program can be found below.

Attendees will also see the presentation of this year’s laksa festival awards:

The Golden Bowl

Adding to the excitement, for the first time ever, the highly anticipated Golden Bowl Awards will be prepared and judged live on stage at the Grand Finale! The top three venues will prepare their dishes right before your eyes, sharing their process, what laksa means to them, and why they love being part of the festival.

The top Laksa League players are also announced at the Festival Finale day, and the winner is awarded their major prize and ultimate bragging rights amongst their peers!
