Burnie High School, is very excited to be staging the Tasmanian premiere of the spectacular musical production Once Upon a Time. This is a very original show, loosely based on the fairy stories written by the Brothers Grimm. The plot features characters from Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella and the Brave Little Tailor.

Three witches, together with Rumpelstiltskin plan to remove all of the princes from Fairyland so that there will be no-one to stop them in their bid to rule the kingdom. They are foiled, however, by Dame Rosy Parker and her friends who thwart their evil plan.

Featuring a cast, band and crew of over 160 students, this musical features lots of corny gags and represents excellent entertainment for audiences of all ages.  One of the most appealing features of this production is the eclectic musical score that includes songs from artists such as ABBA, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson and The Proclaimers.
