Looking for free family fun these Spring school holidays? Head to the Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD) at Old Parliament House for hands-on experiences, creative activities and fun for all ages.
From 26 September to 4 October, enjoy a range of interactive activities designed to spark curiosity, creativity and imagination. Families can get creative with free craft experiences, including the Acts of Kindness School Holiday Craft program.
Families can also enjoy Open Air PlayUP, featuring outdoor games and story time in the Senate Courtyard, alongside PlayUP’s interactive experiences that encourage children to create, make and explore through hands-on play.
Make a day of it with a visit to the café and a stop at The Shop for thoughtfully curated gifts inspired by Australia’s story.
Create and decorate lanterns, make paper friends and other kindness-themed art.

Come along and enjoy outdoor play in our Senate Courtyard. Build blocks, play a game, practise your skipping, or settle in for story time in the sunshine. Bring a picnic (without nuts) to make a day of it.
Prefer to play indoors? PlayUP will be open as usual from 9am to 4:30pm, with facilitated craft running from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

Come and cloud gaze with us for an outdoor painting workshop led by local Canberra artist, Ineka Voigt.
