STEAM UP! At Pearns Steam World.

November 1 @ 9:30 am - November 3 @ 3:30 pm AEDT

The Westbury Preservation Association, the community Not-for-Profit, heritage Charity group that owns and operates Pearns Steam World in Westbury, are having their annual STEAM UP! event again this year.

The three days of the Recreation Day Holiday Weekend (1st to 3rd November) will see:

  • Engines in steam
  • Free train rides
  • Old-time farm machinery displays (including baling demonstrations when possible)
  • Country-style catering and local charitable stalls in the engine sheds.
  • The local Blacksmith will also be in residence, showing the skills from the forge.
  • Saturday will see a gathering of Steam Punk community members.
  • Sunday will have a small animals petting area.
  • Mechanical music machines/organs.
  • New exhibits on show.

SPECIAL FEATURE: Early Land Rovers – designed to be the farmer’s general vehicle.

It was first held at Pearn’s family farm in Hagley in around 1965, and moved to the Pearns Steam World Museum site in Westbury in the late 1980’s.

Run entirely by volunteers, the museum is open every day except Christmas Day and ANZAC Day.

Gates open at 9:30am each day
