The smallest chef in the world conquers Darwin.
Darwin, 23/05/2023 – From Friday, 09 June 2023, "Le Petit Chef", a globally-renowned
unique dinner theatre, is available in Darwin, Australia to make gourmet hearts beat faster. At
the Hilton Darwin, visitors can expect sophisticated 3D cinema combined with excellent
gastronomy.
Every guest can look forward to a show on their own plate. Between meals, the table is
unobtrusively transformed into a screen, whereupon the little chef entertains with various
performances and recordings because his attempts to prepare culinary masterpieces almost
always end in disaster. Luckily, the kitchen crew of the Hilton Darwin always helps the virtual
star out! When the food is on the table, the show moves into the background and the curtain
goes up for regional and international delicacies.
The menu is preselected and offers dishes such as bouillabaisse soup, grilled tiger prawn
with garlic and lemon butter, slow braised beef cheek with fingerling potatoes steamed
broccolini and bordelaise sauce and saffron and cardamom-infused rice pudding. The careful
selection of the ingredients as well as the offer of a vegetarian and a kids’ variant meet every
taste and allows guests of all ages to enjoy an unforgettable culinary journey.

Behind the elaborate animations lies the Belgian artist collective "Skullmapping", founded in
2010 by Filip Sterckx and Antoon Verbeeck. Using 3D mapping technology and profound
artistic know-how, the 58 mm small chef was brought to life in 2015.
Since June 09, 2023, "Le Petit Chef" plays from Thursday to Sunday - Thursdays at 7:00
p.m., Friday to Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. with an additional show at 1 p.m. on
