Waterplay areas in Perth

Waterplay areas in Perth

Are your kids water babies? Do they love being in the pool or playing under the hose? Well, this list is sure to excite them (and you)! Here are the best places in Perth to take the kids for that water play session!

Outback Splash – Outback Splash in Bullsbrook offers Australia’s largest water slide playground.  They have a number of different zones and activities for kids of all ages. Splash Island Is the ultimate playground with interactive sprays, colourful water cannons and a 3 storey structure with a giant tipping bucket. The plummet, the wall, gold rush and the wedge are the slides that feature in the park. All of them have different features and differing thrill seeker levels.

For the little kids, Octopus Bay is a hit, as it is a shaded shallow water pool with miniature slides and tipping bucket. As well as the water play areas, kids can get lost in five different mazes, play nine holes of mini golf, jump on the giant jumping pillow, meet native animals and more.

I don’t know how you can just spend one day here with so much to do and see.

Adventure World – Escape to Adventure World (in Bibra Lake) and experience some awesome rides for the whole family. They have something for all ages. Dragon Kingdom is perfect for the little kids with an interactive aqua playground with tipping buckets, mushroom rain trees and spray loops. It also features seven other rides for the little kids too. The Kahuna Falls area has over 100 water play features with a giant bucket that tips over 1000 litres of water a day (WOW). The big attraction of Adventure World (and is for the older children) is the Kraken. The enormous funnel slide is like no other, with a four person raft going through 150 metres of twists and turns. This is not for the faint hearted- kids or adults.

Along with all the water play areas, Adventure World also has wildlife experiences, rides and much more to please everyone in the family.

BHP Billiton Water Park – Within the new Elizabeth Quay area is the BHP Water Park.

This beautiful interactive water park is fun during the day, but even better at night, when it is illuminated by the colourful lighting. During the day, bring a picnic and a towel and let the kids splash around whilst you relax on the tiered decking that surrounds.

The best thing about this park is it is free (so the kids can be entertained and you don’t have to pay a cent!)

Hyde Park Water Playground – This amazing waterpark is completely free and located in North Perth. The kids will love it, as it features a range of water activities, such as sprays, tipping buckets full of water and water cannons. The playground is well situated under shady trees and there is a pavilion and bbq facilities to make a day out of it.

Rainbow Waters Playground – Located in Ellenbrook, this playground was one of the first free water parks in Perth. It is a great place for families to come and cool off, all whilst having some fun. The park has a range of different interactive water features like fountains, spray guns, bubble jets and more. It has something for everyone.

Beatty Park Leisure Centre – This isn’t just your ordinary leisure centre, it has a number of pools and slides to keep the kids happy. The indoor splash play area makes it easy for little kids. It has a frog slide for the littlies and for the bigger kids there is two other water slides. They have an indoor pool and also an outdoor lap pool and dive pool.

With so many options ranging from free to costing just a little, the big question is- which order are you going to go in to make sure you get to all of them?!!!
